This joint-event will focus on anaerobic digestion and environmental technologies (waste and water treatment, soil remediation and bioenergies).
The CRIBIQ, in collaboration with the CNETE and Biopterre, organized in October 2011 a symposium on anaerobic digestion in Rivière-du-Loup that has attracted 130 professionals. Following the discussions held during this meeting, three priorities were identified by the organizers to accelerate the development of biogas projects in Quebec. Each priority will be discussed in independent workshops and we ask each participant to actively participate in the discussions by bringing their own view of the different hurdles to overcome. Moderators we summarize the discussions for the whole group at the end of the day. The 3 topics discussed in the workshops will be;
This event will conclude by a visit on the anaerobic digestion laboratory located at the BRI-NRC.

Following the workshops, the networking event will start with a short talk given by Dr. Serge Guiot (Head of the NRC-BRI's Environmental Bioengineering Group, Montreal) on bioenergies and waste to energy strategies.
The main purpose of the present gathering is to bring together corporate and public professionals working in the environmental field in a social and accessible arena to exchange information, ideas and contacts in a casual atmosphere.
Thanks to the suggestions and feedback that we received during our last event, the entire supply chain (upstream and downstream) of environmental activities will be invited to join us. We also hope for the presence of more people involved in municipal waste and water treatment. Moreover, environmental nanotechnology will also be represented.
As this is a joint event, participants will have the possibility to choose between attending both events or only one for the following registration fees:
